Lamb Of God vocalist Randy Blythe is currently on American soil following his release from a Czech Republic prison on Thursday. Although his band cancelled their summer co-headline tour with Dethklok, they will play the Knotfest shows on August 17th in Iowa and August 18th in Wisconsin. They are currently lining up dates for a U.S. Tour to start in October; dates and cities will be announced soon.
According to a press release from Lamb Of God’s PR firm, Randy will be making a public statement discussing his time in Prague and to thank fans for their support in the next week. Blythe gave his first post-prison interview to Czech outlet TV Nova while at the airport. In the interview, he maintained that he is not a flight risk, spoke about what he did with his time in prison, and expressed his overall sadness over the case. He also is willing to return when the case goes to court to clear his name. You can view that clip HERE.
KISS will release their 20th studio album, "Monster," on October 16. Described in a press release as a "12-track, straight-ahead rock 'n' roll album," the disc was produced by Paul Stanley with Greg Collins. According to Gene Simmons, "there are no symphony orchestras, boy choirs, keyboards, outside producers or songwriters on this album. The best thing we did was to turn inwards to ourselves. Tommy and Eric have revitalized this band, with a work ethic and the talent to back it up. This is a real band effort. KISS has become a behemoth. We're going where no bands have gone before."

The band Rise To Remain, with frontman Austin Dickinson, Bruce Dickinson's eldest son, have recorded a cover of Metallica's classic song Enter Sandman. The track was originally featured on a completion included with the June 20 issue of U.K.'s Kerrang! Magazine. You can check it out HERE.
Extreme will start working on a new album later this year. They recently completed tours in Japan, Russia, and China. The forthcoming studio disc will be the follow-up to their 2008 reunion album "Saudades de Rock," which was supported by a world tour, during which they recorded the 2010 live CD/DVD “Take Us Alive.” The band features founding members Gary Cherone, Nuno Bettencourt, and Pat Badger, with new drummer Kevin Figueiredo. For the record, former Extreme drummers are doing quite well these days; Paul Geary ran a management company in Boston which handled many bands, including Godsmack, and is currently a senior manager at Front Line Management Group in Los Angeles. Mike Mangini is currently in Dream Theater.
